In the poem "The Raven" the narrator speaks of a woman Lenore. We can infer that this is a woman he loved who is now gone. I think this relates to Edgar because he had lost his loved ones and misses them very much. I thought this was a very interesting connection made between the poem and Edgar's life. ~Julie Fakeh
I agree with Julie, Poe reflected a lot of his life in "The Raven." He describes his loneliness and the hardships he has had throughout his life in this poem. Like Julie says, he also connects his loved ones that have died with Lenore who has passed away in the poem. He mourns about his losses in real life as well as his poem. ~ Sharmi
